On Saturday, June 27th, 2020, “The Sweetest Sound”, a collaboration between DJ Disciple and Anna Awe, was released on all major digital platforms through Catch 22 label.
Quoted from the release: “Responding to an ad DJ Disciple posted, Anna Awe became a regular at his Feel Real party. Seeing her potential, Disciple then gave her an opportunity to realize her talent in singing and writing. 'The Sweetest Sound' is their first collaboration.”
House music has a long history as a DIY dance and music genre. It is still a very active and evolving culture, and has contributed to what is now known as EDM.
Anna enjoyed applying her pop songwriting sensibilities to this genre. The result is an interesting and new sound.
